Sarah’s grandmother taught her to knit when she was a child and she picked the craft up again in high school. Sarah chose the pattern because she wanted to make a Davy Crockett cap and needed some help getting started. She changed the pattern by using different yarn and doubling the furry brown yarn with a wool yarn.
