Chef Steve Maiocco
From its initial soft launch in February of 2024, TAUNY is has worked closely with local culinary artists in its Newberry Cafe, featuring distinct dishes that represent the backgrounds and foods of the artisans cooking them. Head chef of the Steve Maiocco, with extensive experience and educational background in the culinary arts, brings his creativity and expert practice to the dishes he develops for patrons at The Newberry Cafe.
Steven Maiocco
Head Chef Steven Maiocco started in the Newberry Cafe in October of 2024. He is a resident of Potsdam and for the past twenty years has worked at several restaurants as a culinary artist in the North Country. Steve was educated at Johnson & Wales University, and brings his humor and personable nature to the cafe and the dishes he provides – keeping in line with the welcoming and community oriented environment the Cafe is known for.
