Georgette’s mother taught her how to make a granny square when she was 10 years old. She has now been knitting for over 40 years. Her design is original and the hat is meant to be worn at church. After a couple of failed attempts, Georgette finally got her stitches right. At one point the hat was too tall, so she cut a band out of the crown and stitched it back together
