TAUNY’s summer exhibit, Sacred Tools: The Work and Spirit of the Adirondack Trail Crew , opens Saturday, June 5, with an opening reception from 1 to 3 p.m. Sacred Tools is a photographic display of the work life of the Adirondack trail crew, from leaving headquarters to setting up camp miles from civilization. The exhibit will also include a set up of a typical work camp.

It will be a busy day at TAUNY on the 5th: Gretchen Koehler will be offering a free workshop for children ages 7 to 10, Traditional Dance and Percussion Instruments, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. And silversmith Maryann McLaughlin will be the Folkstore Featured Artist. Stop by between 1 and 3 p.m. when she will be talking about and demonstrating her work.
