Knitting for Kids
The Knitting for Kids class, originally scheduled to begin on Monday, January 25, will instead have its first session on Monday, February 1.
Knitters from the Linsie Woolsie Yarn Shop in Canton will offer a three-session after-school class at The TAUNY Center for beginning knitters age 10 and over. Participants will learn a basic knitting stitch and make a knitted headband. Multiple instructors will be on hand to help participants master knitting technique, solve their problems, and do the finishing work.
Sessions will be Mondays February 1, 8, and 15, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Cost for the first session, which covers materials and needles as well as instruction, is $20 for TAUNY members, $25 for non-members. The cost for each additional session is $5 for members, $10 non-members.
Participants may pick up their kits at Linsie Woolsie (4 East Main Street, Canton) in advance of the class or get them at TAUNY the first day of the class. Pre-registration is required; call 386-4289 or email us to register.
