Taylor is January Featured Artist
Visitors to TAUNY during January can enjoy a special display of the work of woodcarver Jack Taylor. Jack will be at the Folkstore to show and talk about his work on Saturday, January 23, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Known for years as the "chief cook" at St. Lawrence University, today Jack Taylor can be seen most days sporting a baseball cap adorned with one of his hand-carved mice. A founder and member of the St. Lawrence Carvers Club, Jack has been carving for about 11 years. On display at The TAUNY Center during January are samples of Jack’s hand-carved mice, traditional folk art fan-birds, and caricatures.
