Northern New York Community Foundation Awards TAUNY $50K Grant

Following their December meeting, the Northern New York Community Foundation announced their decision to approve TAUNY's grant request for $50,000. The grant supports TAUNY's campaign to create a folklife center to showcase the culture and living traditions of the North Country. NNYCF support will also assist with programmatic and educational offerings and improve TAUNY's  display and archival capabilities.

"We are delighted at the news of the Foundation's gift to our Evergreen Campaign to create The TAUNY Center," said TAUNY Center Project Director Varick Chittenden. "Not only is it generous help toward our goal but it's a welcome vote of appreciation for and confidence in TAUNY's work throughout the North Country.  We're honored that the Foundation has become our partner in making the Center project a great and lasting gift to all the people of our region."
