Come see us at TAUNY this Saturday, November 14, for a full slate of activities and demonstrations!

From 10 a.m. to 12 noon, woodcarver Ron Riley of Massena will hold a carving workshop, instructing and helping participants carve a miniature loon. The cost of the workshop is $15 for TAUNY members, $20 for non-members. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Call 315-386-4289 or email info@tauny.org to register.

If you’d rather watch than do, visit TAUNY’s North Country Folkstore between 1 and 3 p.m. when fiber artists Donna McGill, Donna Fenner, and Terry Woodruff will demonstrate and talk about their work. The two Donnas of Toodee’s Mittens specialize in “the warmest mittens for the coldest days,” handmade from recycled boiled wool garments lined with fleece. Terry Waldruff makes felted bags of all sizes—from cell phones to purses—and also creates unique greeting cards that incorporate her knitting.
