The Board of Directors of Traditional Arts of Upstate New York (TAUNY) is organizing a series of raffles in conjunction with Canton Winterfest.  Tickets to win The Red School House Barn Quilt are being sold at the North Country Folkstore for $5.00 each. This barn quilt was painted by members of the Board of Directors and friends. The winner will be drawn on Saturday, February 18 during TAUNY's Pea Soup and Johnnycake Lunch from 11:00am-2:00pm; you do not need to be present to win. Other barn quilts painted by TAUNY board members are currently on sale in the Folkstore at The TAUNY Center.


In addition, 50/50 raffles will be held on, Friday February 10 during the Winter Meltdown Dance at the Best Western University Inn in Canton and at the SLU vs. Cornell hockey game at Appleton Arena on Friday, February 17. You must be present to win.


Funds raised through these efforts will got to support the work of TAUNY in the North Country.


The TAUNY Center is located at 53 Main Street, downtown Canton, NY. TAUNY is a nonprofit organization that showcases the folk culture and living traditions of New York's North Country, offering opportunities to experience, learn about, and reflect on issues related to life in our rural region.
