TAUNY Honors Seeger with Tribute Jam
Want to join your community in celebrating a great American music maker? Music jams resume at The TAUNY Center with a special tribute and singalong in honor of the late Pete Seeger on Friday, March 7, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
John Danis, John Collins, and Camilla Ammirati will lead songs. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join in, whether singing along, playing acoustic instruments or just listening. Chord and lyric sheets will be provided.
People will be invited to share stories about Pete Seeger and what his music and activism have meant to them, and the evening will include a special screening of footage from one of Seeger’s last interviews, which Mountain Lake PBS recorded in connection with TAUNY’s “Songs to Keep” project last summer.
The special Seeger jam is free and open to all.

The interview was one of the last Seeger gave before his death in January. Excerpts from the documentary, as well as some footage not included in the final réplique de sacs à main video, will be shown at the Seeger Tribute Jam at The TAUNY Center on Friday, March 7.
