TAUNY and ANCA – the North Country Adirondack Association – are teaming up to help North Country artists increase their exposure and sell their products at the annual Adirondack Buyer Days in Saratoga Springs.

On Monday, February 25, at 7 p.m., Melissa Hart, ANCA’s Communications Specialist, will be at The TAUNY Center to speak to local artists and vendors about the annual show – now in its 27th year. Buyer Days offer North Country artisans the opportunity to sell their work to retailers from Vermont, the Adirondacks, the Capital District, and Central New York. This year’s Buyer Days will take place Wednesday and Thursday, March 27 and 28, at the Saratoga Springs City Center. (More at www.adirondack.org.)

“The Adirondack Buyer Days offer a great opportunity for beginning and experienced producers,” says TAUNY Executive Director Jill Breit. “Many North Country businesses have had great success selling at this show, and were able to grow their businesses through the exposure they gained there.”

This year, TAUNY and ANCA have received funding from New York State to work with North Country artisans to help prepare them for this show and to expand the reach of Buyers Days. At the TAUNY information session, Hart will describe that project and answer questions about participating in the show, such as what to expect, how much inventory to bring, who the buyers are and what they will be looking for at your booth, and much more. The information will be useful for artists planning to participate in this year's Buyer Days as well as those hoping to gear up to participate in the future.

This information session is free and all interested North Country artists are welcome. Pre-registration is appreciated by calling 315-386-4289 or emailing info@TAUNY.org.
