Each year TAUNY honors masters of North Country arts and traditions at the Salute to North Country Legends, one of our most popular annual events. The Board of Directors recently announced the 2010 North Country Heritage Award  recipients: Chazy Central Rural School’s Class Day; St. Lawrence River fishing guide Clay Ferguson of Clayton; and the Haskell Yancey Family, maple sugar producers from Croghan.

Also this year, TAUNY will present its Evergreen Award to woodcarver Ron Riley of Massena.

Join us on Sunday, October 17, at 2 p.m., at the Best Western University Inn in Canton as we salute recipients of TAUNY’s 2010 North Country Heritage Awards.  Musical entertainment will be provided by fiddlers Gretchen Koehler and Don Woodcock.
